CLIPPER INTERALL REBRANDING

Following the merger of Clipper and Interall three years ago, the new brand, Clipper Interall, is positioning itself in the promotional products market.

In 1945 the company started as a business selling pens. Clipper was the first in The Netherlands to introduce printed promotional gifts and Direct Marketing; sales through catalogues. In 2022, Clipper took the first step towards sustainability by acquiring the Interall Group. From 2023 the company operates under the name Clipper Interall.

Rebranding and focus

Before the merger, Clipper was in a similar position to all the generalists. While Interall was sourcing with a different, more sustainable perspective. Therefore, the merger gave the company a new face, story and direction.

As a supplier and generalist in the market, Clipper Interall is adding brand value through importing, printing and supplying functional, reusable and sustainable promotional gifts. Their focus is set on a sustainable, certified collection and cooperation with European brands, among who certified B Corps.

Clipper Interall aims to become the leading supplier of sustainable promotional gifts. “We recognize the need for change and want to inspire others to take action to take care of our planet. Together with our partners and suppliers, we aim to accelerate the journey to ‘sustainable’ giving.”

A sustainable, certified collection

At the moment their ‘WoW Sustainable Collection’ represents 40% of their assortment, with the goal of making this 80% by 2030. In terms of materials, the sourcing strategy is based on three pillars: Using waste-, recycled- and/or natural materials for the products. Clipper Interall’s products have sustainability features such as ‘recycled’ and ‘organic’, and these attributes are supported with globally recognized sustainability certifications such as GRS, RCS, GOTS and FSC. Some of their best-selling items are now available in a more sustainable version.

Clipper Interall also works with GSES to measure the CO2-impact of their products. GSES is a system that forms a universal and global sustainability standard, based on hundreds of sustainability labels and standards for manufacturers, suppliers and (end) users.

(Re)usability is an important topic

Clipper Interall aims to maximise the gift experience with minimal environmental impact.

One of the main points for Clipper Interall is to offer products that are useful gifts instead of throwaways that end up in the trash within 24 hours. Usable gifts, like a coffee cup, notebook or a bag are the ideal giveaways as promotional products for adding brand value. Combine this with circularity in the product, and your brand will benefit the most.
