INTERVIEW: OUR QUESTIONS TO KARIBAN BY TOPTEX, EXHIBITOR 2020

The iconic TopTex group will be on stand C21 at Premium Sourcing with the Kariban brand. We wanted to find out more from its Managing Director Laurent Marceau. Discover his interview below.

Introduce your company and its strong points :
For more than 25 years, the TopTex group has been developing and enriching its range of customisable promotional textiles and accessories for professionals in Europe. Founded in 1994 by Laurent Marti and established in the Toulouse region, leader in France and Benelux, major player in other European countries, Top-Tex Group distributes 43 brands including the most important brands in the promotional sector: Fruit of the Loom, Gildan, B&C, Russell Europe, as well as iconic brands such as Timberland, Crocs, Carhartt, Lee, Napapijri. Top-Tex Group distributes 100% of the ranges of the 4 brands of the Kariban Brands group, which are essential references on the European promotional market.

Kariban Brands offers a wide range of image clothing and accessories for professionals. Kariban Brands is made up of 4 brands Kariban, PROACT®, K-UP & Kimood which complement each other and work together to develop targeted collections and product references that meet the needs of all professional sectors. Collections inspired by ready-to-wear such as the Organic, Vintage, Premium, Sailing and Lounge collections with trendy pieces with meticulously worked cuts and finishes. Workwear is given pride of place in the Workwear, Hospitality and Corporate collections, with the aim of offering complete ranges and references adapted to each profession. PROACT, the group’s sports brand, is developing a range of quality sportswear to dress teams with the Teamwear Wave and Line collections. Sportswear references integrating fashion trend codes are proposed in the Urban Apparel and Fleece Collection. Why is Premium Sourcing an important event for you?
With more than 100 exhibitors, Premium Sourcing is the show not to be missed, especially as it takes place during a key period for the achievement of our annual turnover and the preparation of our year-end offers. The main interest for us is to be visible for the various clients and market players and to increase the opportunities for commercial contacts. It is a meeting and exchange place that allows us to build loyalty and broaden our network and to keep us informed of trends and innovations, particularly through numerous conferences.

What new products will you be presenting at the show?
The brand is expressing its know-how through a new workwear collection, the DayToDay, entirely designed to dress professionals on a daily basis, as well as the BIO150 collection offering the essentials of the organic cotton t-shirt, available in a wide choice of colours. This year, Kariban is highlighting new polo shirts with antibacterial treatment, washable at 60°C, to complete the brand’s workwear offer. These polo shirts are equipped with SilverPlus® treatment, an innovative textile coating process that reduces odours and the presence of bacteria. Thanks to the quality of its composition and the SilverPlus® technological treatment, the range of antibacterial polo shirts is washable at 60°C: at this temperature, the fabric becomes softer, which eliminates fungi, mites and bacteria.
